I have had good luck with the hardware picked up at the auctions but not
such good luck with getting good deal (which has occasionaly meant I
walked away empty handed and a day wasted).  It depends on /who/ is
there - there have been absolutely huge turn outs and really great deals
to be had and small turn outs in which you have to make sure you are not
in a parallel universe because there is no conceivable way that bidder
"y" just paid that amount for that lot...  strange...
