After suffering some hardware failures over the years, I've concluded
that cheap (in quality and price) hardware has a greater TCO than the
better stuff.

That's why I swore off Via chipsets some time ago, as well as PC
Chips, Jetway and Shuttle motherboards, and nonamo-brand power
supplies and cases.

In the long run (which, in this case, can be as short as 1 year)
better hardware costs less.
