Oooh IDSL... the fake DSL that actually uses ISDN under the hood, but 
steals the D-channel too, so instead of 128, you get 144!  What a weird 
little off-shoot that technology is!  (I always thought it was a clever 
telco hack, but such things make me happy.  LOL!)

Yeah, latency would be fine, just raw speed is limited.  ISDN really 
wasn't that bad of a technology... it's still used heavily as a 
"gateway" for videoconferencing between companies... you call my ISDN 
number, and I'll gateway your video into my LAN... and thence on to my 
desktop.  It's a common way around firewall issues for video. And zero 
security issues...
