[lug] Need more space for linux on dual boot machine

To get the most space, check for space-hogging directories within
Windows.  You may find gigabytes in your trash and internet temp
files.  (I like jDiskReport)  You can turn off Windows hibernation if
you don't need it.  (At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe
/hibernate off ) and delete c:\hiberfil.sys and gain back disk space
approx equal to your ram size.

Then run the Windows defragger.  (From MyComputer right click on a
drive to pull up the properties dialogue - then Tools tab.)

Then backup, gparted as previously mentioned.  I once got an extra
10GB this way.
