[lug] want to borrow: SSD

I know it’s a long shot to ask, but does anybody have a 2.5 inch blank
internal solid state hard drive I can borrow for a few days?

I am trying to troubleshoot performance issues with my MacBook Pro (
quad-core i7 2.3 Ghz CPU with 16 GB of RAM).

CPU is usually 95% idle, and I’m only using about 25% of RAM, but
almost every click of the mouse results in a “spinning beach ball of
death”, rending the computer unusable.

Disk I/O spikes occasionally, but I’m not sure that’s the cause of the
problem. I want to be sure that replacing my hard drive resolves the
issues before plunking down $250 to buy a new one.

Thanks.
