Alright BLUGgers... poll results are in and the decision has been made to
86 tonight's meeting. I know how disappointing that is for many of you all
so I want to offer up an AMAZING consolation prize... for the second time
ever, we're going to do a BLUG/DevOps Boulder Crossover Event!!

If you remember last time we did a x-over event, we had it during our
regular BLUG MeetUp slot... this time we're going to do it during the
DevOps MeetUp slot on Monday March 15th, at 6:30PM! There's a great talk
lined up and we're excited to have been invited to temporarily join that
MeetUp! Details can be found here:
https://www.meetup.com/DevOps-Boulder/events/ffntxryccfbtb/

Key note details are as follows: Ned McClain on "Ops in a Serverless World"
According to Andy Jassy, almost half of the new applications deployed on
AWS in 2020 were on the "serverless" Lambda platform. If your organization
isn't using serverless, you will be soon. Now is the time to level up your
skills in this space. So, does serverless mean we no longer need "ops"? Far
from it! We'll kick off the talk by deploying to AWS Lambda, then dive into
API Gateway, deployment, security, observability, performance, and cost
management. Our goal is to build comfort and expand your knowledge around
operating serverless environments. You will leave with a solid understanding
of when serverless makes sense in your infrastructure and when it does NOT.
