[lug] Compile problems on RH 6.1

I got my Redhat 6.1 installed finally. Now I am having major problems
compiling things, nothing will compile. I am getting errors such as:

/usr/include/bits/somefile.h(o): cannot find file 
/.../.../errno.h: file not found

and things of that sort. Sorry I couldn't paste in the errors but this is my
working hard drive running off the same hardware the new hard drive is on.
This is becoming really frustrating...am I missing something?
