[lug] Xterm and Linux

Has anyone had this problem while after New install of linux 6.3
and under KDE in desktop clicked on 'Shells in Xterm' and after
selecting 'bash login' Not be able to type certain characters on your
keyboard., Meaning everything looks OK but when you select characters like
'/' and '#' or ANY Shift keys will print something
totally different? It must be an emulation problem but I don't know
how to fix it.
