Ummm, just a quick thought here... if Corel and Debian are
"incompatible" (which in many ways they are... Corel adds in stuff that
Debian's Free Software Guide won't touch with a ten-foot pole, including
KDE) it's Corel that did it, not the Debian folks.
It'd be like saying that RedHat's at fault if Mandrake messes up
compatibility issues with RH in their distribution that's BASED on
RedHat.
The best "spinoff" distro maker of Debian-style distros is Storm Linux,
IMHO. They add on without breaking the ability to just remove their
packages and get back to a straight Debian system down the road if you
like.
