[lug] Getting X started - or, more properly, stopped

OK, got it sorted - and yes, it does tell you to use ^X to go to the text 
prompt. I have no idea how I missed that.

The problem was this: X wouldn't start because the font server wasn't 
running. The font server wouldn't start because /usr/X11R6/bin/X was not a 
link.

Made X a link to XF86_SVGA and all now works.

Why is it important that X be a link?
