[lug] up2date and .hdr files

Dear all:

I am up2dating a RH6.2 machine and it's been taking days.  I selected one
package and the number of packages snowballed because of a dependency.  It
doesn't seem to have installed anything except downloading all the .hdr
files in /var/spool/up2date.  I wonder if I should let it finish up2dating
even it would take a month to do so; it seems like it!  Is there any way
to manually install .hdr files?
