Presentation: Social Engineering Attacks
Speaker: Kevin Fenzi <kevin at scrye.com>
Abstract: A computer network is only as secure as it's weakest link.
More and more that link is becoming the natural tendency to
trust others that we all have. In this talk I will go over
how social engineering attacks against your networks work,
and what you can do to reduce your exposure to them.
Demo Speaker: Rob Riggs <RRiggs at doubleclick.net>
Demo: configuring the PAM console module, which is used to manage
device ownership & permissions so that the console user has
access to the various devices on a workstation.
Driving directions (from the Dark Horse):
* Go west on Baseline and turn right on Broadway.
* Turn right on Regent Drive.
* Take the first right that is not a parking lot. This is
before you get to the pedestrian crosswalk and the
Planetarium.
* Go straight until you get to the parking lot. Parking is
free after 5:00. Tennis courts will be to the northeast.
You'll be very close to the intersection of Baseline and
Broadway.
* The building will be directly to the north, enter through
the door on the right. Follow the penguins.
* The room is on the left side of the hallway as you go
straight in.
