I'm still struggling with getting a wireless card working in my
laptop. The PCMCIA system seems to install the correct modules when
inserted, and it appears that I can see the wireless card. I just don't
seem to be able to control the cards functions using iwconfig.
One question is whether or not the stock kernel in the KRUD distribution
is compiled to support the wireless extensions? Is there a way to know
that? My guess is yes since the modules do seem to load succesfuly.
Another thing I'm wondering is if I need to add anything to the
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 file (channel description, mode,
etc.) that seems to be created by Red Hat's network configuration utility.
