[lug] DSL Availibility

AFAIK, last year yes (got one also), this year no. All Qwest DSL capital
expansion in CY2003 was halted due to Qwest's financial position. I've not
heard of any changes and have qualifications run once in a while in likely
areas for expansion. Last I heard their bench stock level was 50% for
existing support services let alone new services. They did relax the dB
attenuation which expanded coverage by about 10 percent in most directions,
so 18000ft became realistic. If you squawk really loudly AND you have deep
pockets (read major requirements), they might do something about loading
coils and bridge taps. This happened recently in Greeley when a building
got lit in an area where no one else was getting anything due to pair gain.
Some CO's have third party providers which generally offer better services
at a higher price.
