Agreed. I'll send the message along, heavily paraphrasing the
discussion here, making an effort not to be rude about it, and
omitting some that... well, can be seen by the poster in the archive
anyway.
In perspective, I don't think I'd have allowed the survey anyway. I
did need help explaining *why*, so thanks for the discussion,
everyone.
And I just can't pass this one up:

Heh. You asked for it. With my new labeling scheme, I'd have to
classify your post as exhibiting:
opinion: expressing an opinion about something
persuasion: showing intent to change another's mind about something
tangle: bringing a different topic to an existing thread
appreciation: showing appreciation for something
meta: email discourse discussing the email discourse
all: intended audience of all list subscribers
In case anyone was worried, no, I'm *not* using BLUG for the
project. (And I'm not likely to, actually.) I'm focusing particularly
on the linux-kernel mailing list.
