KGNU (88.5 FM Boulder, 1390 AM Denver) is looking for an IT
consultant. The job description is included below. Please circulate
it for us to anyone you know who could be qualified and interested.
Let me know if you can recommend some good job bulletin boards we

KGNU SEEKS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT
KGNU, Boulder and Denver's community radio station seeks a part-time
hourly (6-10 hours per week) IT consultant. KGNU is a non-profit
organization with a mission dedicated to providing alternative news
and music to Boulder and Denver listeners (see http://kgnu.org).
Responsibilities: Systems and Network administration of a Linux, Win2K
Server and Windows 98 workstation environment.
Provide First Level Support for:
- Linux servers running sendmail, DNS, mailman, Apache webserver, MP3
server, RealAudio server, web archives, backup and shutdown.
- Windows 2000 servers supporting Windows 98 Digital Audio
workstations and a membership database.
- Secure network environment including Big Brother monitoring,
Router/Firewall, broadband connectivity to the Internet and internal
10/100 Mps network.
Provide second level support for:
- Windows 98/2000 office workstations
- Windows 98 Digital Audio workstations
- Windows Network
- User support
Additional tasks:
- Must be willing to work with a team of volunteers of various skill
levels
- Provide input on proposed projects
- Work cooperatively with an IT committee composed of KGNU staff,
board members and volunteers
- Communicate with Station Manager and IT committee chair to provide
regular reports to KGNU board of directors.
- Attend regular IT committee meetings.
Qualifications:
Required: a minimum of two years systems administration and network
experience in a mixed UNIX and Windows environment, with strong
communications skills and a positive open attitude. Demonstrated
ability to work well with a wide variety of people, one to one and in
committees.
Desired: Digital/Audio support, satellite data collection support,
router/firewall/VPN support.
Salary: $50 per hour, average 6-10 hours per week.
