I'm seeing different behavior for ps between my Krud 9 box and my AS
2.1 and 3.0 boxes. I typically do "ps aux" and grep for what I'm
looking for. However, on AS, I'm seeing the individual threads in the
output, instead of just the processes.
>From the ps man page, it should be the "m" option that shows threads.
There are environment variables you can set to make redhat's ps work
more like BSD (I_WANT_A_BROKEN_PS and PS_PERSONALITY), but I don't
have those set. Hmm, I think ps aux is the BSD type. Anyway, "m"
should be what shows individual thread data.
Has anyone else seen this, or have ideas how I can get AS ps to behave
predictably?
