[lug] wireless experiments

I'm experimenting with notebook wireless...and thinking of consuming 
mass quantities of coffee while doing so. Kernel compiles, software 
experimentation...coffee and these things go together like lightning and 
Frankenstein, or honey and bees. But I've never set up wireless on linux 
(and barely on windows). So can anyone tell me if there's anything in 
particular I need to know about Cafe Sole's wireless? Is it 802.11b? Or 
does it support 802.11a or g? Does it broadcast an obvious SSID?
