[lug] Reboot hangs

init 6 didn't do anything either, but if I ran the shutdown scripts
manually with the command in my original email it got at least to a
point that I could no longer type and had to reboot.  I'm guessing
it's NFS, that seems to be the only thing that still hangs Linux for me
these days.  USB used to but it's better since late 2.4 kernels.
