[lug] how to change default app under xubuntu/xfce

Dear Phil,

     Which version of Xubuntu are you using? I found a lot of versions of Ubuntu to be defective. I think that Canonical tries to put a lot of new features on each of their semi-annual releases, and doesn't really make sure that everything works perfectly. It is sad that they have some of the same problems as Microsoft. Luckily, every once in a while they come out with an LTS version which is much more solid. My advice is don't sweat it, just wait for Hardy Heron, which is their new Long Term Support version. That should come out in about 5 months. I know this sounds kind of negative, and many people in the Linux community won't agree with me, but I think it is the truth.
