[lug] RedHat Ent5 Terminal window issue

At first thought I wondered if you had a bash TMOUT variable set, but 
then the terminals would all disappear at different times based on when 
you last used it.

Which terminal are you using?  If it's gnome-terminal, you could try 
running konsole or xterm instead to see if it happens with the other 
terminals.

Does it matter if you are running jobs in the terminals or are they all 
idle (e.g. if you ran "while (true); do /bin/date; sleep 1s; done" does 
it still close?

I'd look in /var/log/messages or in ~/.xsession-errors to see if there's 
any info on what happened.
