[lug] PCI video card that "just works" with FC10?

Another freeze-up this morning persuaded me to fit an old Matrox G450 & 
see if stability improved, while I ponder a longer term solution.

After the Nvidia card had gone cold, it was apparent that it's cooling 
fan no longer turned freely. Naturally, it's built into an elaborate 
heat-sink & cant easily be replaced by a generic part.

So the change of O/S version may have been entirely coincidental & the 
proprietary drivers may well be entirely blameless.

As I consider what to next, I'm being reintroduced to the quaint old 
custom of "waiting while the screen re-draws" ;-)
