[lug] VSFTP stopped working recently

To try rolling back, consider using one or many of these:

apt-cache madison <package>
apt-cache showpkg <package>
apt-get install <package>=<version>

But if I was me in your position, the first thing I'd do is try to find and peruse vsftpd's log-file.
