[lug] Backup media and programs opinions?

Agreed.  Expensive, but excellent drives.  Tapes are nearly
indestructible, and they really did use some advanced ideas in their
packet-writing techniques to the tape.  I used one of these for a while,
and it "just worked".  SCSI interface, relatively fast, and never had to
fiddle with anything to make it act just like any other well-behaved
Unix tape drive.
