| multiple partitions, the RedHat installer may need more space on a
| particular partition, like / or /usr.

| about, you may want to forget the update and do a full installation
| where you format every partition except /home.

Alternatively, you can go on an 'rpm -e' spree in an effort to free up
enough space to please the installer.  For example, whichever of KDE
or Gnome you don't use.  Who knows, there may turn out to be enough
space to re-install it after the upgrade.
