[lug] Fedora on a slab

So... Yes, DIY is always an option, but this time, money will be spent, and...

There's this free-market capitalist notion that I just can't dispel from my mind: One should vote with one's money. That is, when a maker makes something that makes you happy, you should throw money at them. When they don't, you shouldn't. Whenever you spend your money, you are demonstrating approval, more weightily with your money than with your puffs of air or emails.

In short, I am careful to buy what I want, and not buy what I don't want, so that I don't accidentally dilute any signal I might be producing in the market.

Why not install your own Fedora on top of whatever ships with
the laptop you like? You'll have to do upgrades anyway as time goes
on.

If the laptop comes with some kind of linux, won't it support
nearly any linux?
